At Last Vacation Time Finally Arrives

This is my first trip in over three years and I am very excited. Its been a long time since I took a vacation. I have been planning this trip for months and now the time has finally arrived to depart. I am going to South America and this will be my first visit. The weather is suppose to be nice and warm and I have packed accordingly.

I planned for the plane ride, as well. The trip is scheduled to take at least seven hours. Therefore, I chose my clothes, accordingly. I selected loose fitting sweat pants and an over sized t-shirt. When I go to bed, given that we will be flying at night, I brought along my Nautica sleepwear. Since, I am flying business class the seats also fully recline.

In this regard, the airline offers a number of additional features. One such feature is the night pouch. This contains, among other items, toiletries, a night eye patch, and comfortable socks for keeping the feet warm. The toiletries range from a tooth brush, paste, floss, comb, to even an eau de parfum spray. There are also body soaps and hand lotions.

Other benefits of flying business class include the wonderful variety of menu options and even off menu choices. As a vegetarian, they provide a separate choice of entrees and even deserts for the lactose intolerant. The airline attendants are very attentive and accommodating. The choice of on board entertainment is also vast. I was able to enjoy all those second tier movies that I was waiting to catch on DVD.

On the plane, I also brought along a change of dress which I plan to wear prior to landing. The dress is simple consisting of a pair of comfortable jeans, tank top, leather brown boots, and a belt. I also brought along a straw hat for shade. The other contents in my carry on is basically comprised of personal things, including a few valuables. For instance, I have some local currency and, of course, my passport.

Among the valuables, is my new digital camera. I will definitely be getting my money’s worth with this item. The camera is rechargeable and I did not bring any additional memory options. The reason for this is that I plan to download my snapshots onto a web site. This will not only allow my friends to see where I am traveling, but also save space on my camera. There is also an AC convertor. This will be helpful as the electric outlets are different in this part of the hemisphere and not directly compatible with all electrical accessories.

The pilot finally began to speak and announced that we were approaching our destination. Excitement rushed through me. The attendants were advised to prepare for landing. I did likewise. I gathered my accessories, a book, mp3 player, etc. And stored them away. I set my seat in an upright position. I then headed for the rest room to change into my vacation gear. I am finally here!
