Outfit Yourself Properly for Hokie Game Day in Virginia Tech Apparel

It’s a fall Saturday and the Hokies are in Blacksburg to face off in a important ACC football battle. For Virginia Tech fans, there are few better places to be when the Hokies are playing. The Blacksburg game scene has become one of the best in the country and tailgating is the main focus of the day. But if you intende to participate, you have to be properly dressed in the right apparel to show off your Virginia Tech pride.

You’ve got lots of options. Probably the best outfit for a Hokie fan is a Virginia Tech football jersey. Put on the jersey with the number of your favorite player, either current or a classic past player and off you go. The Virginia Tech football team wears a variety of uniforms, but usually at home there wear maroon, so a Virginia Tech maroon jersey is often your best option. However feel free to put on one of the other Hokie options including a white Virginia Tech Jersey or even an orange Hokie jersey.

If the weather is colder, a jersey can still be worn with heavier layers, but you can also choose other options. For example, a Virginia Tech sweatshirt is very popular and if you buy one in fleece or heavy fabric they’ll keep you warm in Lane Stadium. If you shop for a Virginia Tech sweatshirt, choices are limitless. You’ll see them in all kinds of styles and colors, including maroon, grey, orange, white, and almost anything else. Plus you’ll see them in specific styles for everyone in the family like Virginia Tech women’s sweatshirt, Virginia Tech youth sweatshirts, and a Virginia Tech hooded sweatshirts.

Another common option is going simple with a Virginia Tech t-shirt. Of course the weather has to be warm enough, but early fall games are often still warm enough to wear a cool maroon Virginia Tech t shirt. You can even go long sleeve if needed with your Hokie t-shirt, and keep in mind if it’s a “Maroon Effect” or “Orange Effect” game day, make sure you wear the color that coordinates with the stadium.

There are many of other ways to sport out in Hokie gear, a sporty Virginia Tech fitted hat is a great option, a cool Virginia Tech golf shirt, or even a Virginia Tech blanket if it’s bitter outside and you need to heat up during game watching. I haven’t tried them, but some will even come out in Virginia Tech pants.

You can never quite guess what the weather is going to do so other things to consider are a Virginia Tech jacket, and there are many of these to choose from as well. Virginia Tech pullovers, shells, and ponchos are many and can be golden on a gloomy day. You can wrap one of these around your waist just in case, this keeps you from having to buy one in Lane Stadium if the weather turns dark or cold unexpectedly. We all have experienced Blacksburg weather patterns, and they can be unpredictable.

Whatever you sport, be unique in showing off your Hokie pride, and go nuts as you cheer Virginia Tech to a big victory!
